Change is a constant. Are you prepared?
There's always been a lot of change in the ACA market, but over the past year, several major rules, department of insurance mandates, and now legislative updates have given agents and brokers even more to keep up with.
The following resources will keep you informed and prepared as we work together to navigate what promises to be a season of unprecedented change in the ACA. Read on to learn more about:

Major changes are coming to the Affordable Care Act that will significantly impact how your agency operates leading up to and during Open Enrollment 2026.
You'll need to be aware of key changes like a new $5 rule for consumers on $0 plans, the end of the Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for consumers at ≤150% FPL, and the scheduled expiration of extended APTC (eAPTC) at the end of 2025.
Visit our ACA Changes Resource Center for videos, training, and an easy guide to the each of the new changes.
NPN Override, a feature many agencies use to have their direct downline write with a principal NPN, has recently been disallowed in Florida, one of the largest FFM states.
Enrollments in six FFM states may only be submitted using the writing agent’s NPN. This update may impact your agency's process and the use of the NPN Override feature in HealthSherpa.
To learn more about NPN Override, which states do and do not allow this feature, and how HealthSherpa can help you navigate the differences, visit our NPN Override Resource Page.
Several carriers will be exiting the ACA Marketplace for plan year 2026, which could put parts of your book of business at risk. Get ahead of these changes now — the earlier you reach out, the more likely you are to keep clients enrolled and satisfied.
Learn which carriers are exiting, how to identify affected clients using HealthSherpa’s filtering tools, and how you can reach out to retain clients and ensure continuous coverage.
Stay proactive and retain your clients by visiting our ACA Carrier Exits page.
