Plan Year 2026 FFM Certification for Agents and Brokers

HealthSherpa is pleased to be a CMS-approved vendor for the FFM Agent & Broker Training Program.
Complete your 2026 Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) certification and earn free CEUs (available in some states) by completing training with HealthSherpa.
To get started, select the HealthSherpa Training option after you sign in to your CMS Enterprise Portal and navigate to the Marketplace Learning Management System.
Instructions for PY26 certification and free CEUs
(If you would like to earn free CEUs, you should check that your state is currently on the list of states offering CEUs for HealthSherpa FFM Training. CEUs cannot be granted retroactively.)
Step 1: Navigate to the MLMS
On a desktop or laptop computer, navigate to the MLMS within your CMS Enterprise Portal. Then navigate to the Marketplace Learning Management System
Step 2. Choose “HealthSherpa Training”
From there, you'll see an option for HealthSherpa Training (look at the bottom of the page for the HealthSherpa Training link).
You must start here for training through HealthSherpa to be valid!
Step 3. Start your training
You will be redirected to HealthSherpa. Once you're on HealthSherpa.com, sign up for training then select the appropriate course: New agent training or Returning agent training.
Step 4. Complete registration
Once you complete training through HealthSherpa, you will be directed to log back in to the CMS Enterprise Portal to complete registration, including signing the applicable Marketplace Agreement(s) on the MLMS.
Are you a new agent to the Marketplace?
If you are new agent and have not completed FFM training in prior years, you will need to create a CMS Enterprise Portal account and complete a few required steps before you can access the training. Click here for a step by step guide to set up your CMS account.

HealthSherpa offers the following training curricula:
- Individual Marketplace Training for New Agents and Brokers
- Individual Marketplace Training for Returning Agents and Brokers
HealthSherpa offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for these trainings.
When you complete your training through HealthSherpa, you're also eligible for free continuing education units (CEUs) that qualify toward "Health Line of Authority" requirements in certain states. View this list of states offering CEUs through HealthSherpa's training - it will be updated as we add more states!
Any agent or broker can take these free courses.
However, the Marketplace trainings are only valid for FFM certification. State Based Marketplaces (SBM) have their own, independent trainings. Agents pursuing SBM certification should visit the state’s website for directions and training.
How much does FFM certification cost?
HealthSherpa Marketplace Agent and Broker Training courses are available for free to all agents and brokers.
How long does FFM certification take?
Agents complete HealthSherpa Marketplace Agent and Broker Training courses in a few hours. Our training provides free CEUs in addition to FFM certification, so it may take longer than for FFM certification through CMS.
